Description
Raysdale House is a house dated 1847, located in Castle Carrock. It is constructed of dressed red sandstone on a chamfered plinth, with raised quoins featuring V-shaped joints. The building has a Welsh slate roof and brick chimney stacks. It stands two storeys high and has three bays, with flanking single-storey wings that have one and two bays respectively. The entrance features a six-panel top-glazed door surrounded by an alternate block surround with a keyed entablature, all adorned with V-shaped joints. The sash windows, which include glazing bars, have raised painted stone surrounds. There have been some 20th-century alterations to the windows at the rear.
