Description

Garth House is a farmhouse dated 1667, as indicated by the initials I.H. and M.H. above the entrance. The building features limewashed rendered walls resting on large footing stones and has a graduated slate roof with end stone chimney stacks. It is two storeys high and has three bays. The 20th-century door has a chamfered surround and an inscribed, dated lintel with a hood mould. The sash windows, which have glazing bars, are framed by plain painted 19th-century surrounds, and there is a small fire window located at the extreme right. The listing does not include the farm outbuildings.
