Description

Acorn Bank is a house dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of dressed red sandstone and stucco, with a graduated slate roof and brick chimney stacks. The house has two storeys and four bays. The front features a six-panel door with a glazed fanlight, sheltered by a porch with a tented lead hood supported by moulded wooden elements. A two-storey, semi-circular bay on the right side is built of red sandstone and incorporates curved sash windows with glazing bars. The remaining windows are sash windows with glazing bars in plain surrounds.
