Description
This is a farmhouse with an adjoining barn, dating from 1682, with alterations made in 1824, as evidenced by the inscribed initials IHI above the entrance. The building is constructed of whitewashed sandstone with a green slate roof and yellow brick chimney stacks. It has two storeys and three bays. The front features a plank door set within a painted stone surround and an inscribed lintel. The windows are 2-pane sashes with painted raised stone surrounds; a small, filled fire window is located on the far left. A former barn, integrated into the house, is situated to the right. A 20th-century door and 2-pane sash windows are also present. A filled entrance and loft window are visible. An arched cart entrance on the right has plank doors, a central 20th-century sliding garage door, and filled slit vents above. Rear extensions likely date from 1824. The listing does not encompass other outbuildings on the property.
