Description

The arch located east of the Church of St Kentigern is a structure from a former church, likely dating from the 13th century but rebuilt in the 18th century. It is made of moulded red sandstone and features a single pointed arch constructed using materials from the medieval church. The original church was destroyed during border raids in the 14th century, and its exact location has not been determined. However, the current church, built in 1885, is believed to be situated on part of the original site.
