Description

Walton High Rigg is a farmhouse dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of red sandstone ashlar, featuring raised quoins and a dentilled cornice. The roof is made of green slate with coped gables and brick chimney stacks. The building has two storeys and consists of four bays. The entrance is a 20th-century glazed door, which has an alternate block surround with V-shaped joints and a flat arch. The sash windows, which include glazing bars, have plain raised surrounds. The listing does not include a two-storey, single-bay extension to the left or any other outbuildings.
