Description
The lodge to the north-east of Milton Hall is an early 19th-century building. It features a combination of rusticated and smooth ashlar stonework, topped with a Welsh slate roof that has coped gables, finials, and kneelers. The structure is single storey and consists of a single bay. A gabled porch with a moulded pointed surround leads to a recessed flat arch entrance. There is a projecting three-light gabled bay window with a sloping dentilled hood and single-pane sash windows. A similar gabled bay window is located on the east wall, but it does not have a hood. To the left, there is a 20th-century extension that is designed to be in keeping with the original building. Milton Hall, which has been partly demolished in the 20th century, is now a remand home.
