Description
36-38 Roper Street is a building dated 1740, located on the southwest side of Roper Street. It features a classical wooden shop front with pilasters, a frieze, and a cornice. An unusual lead rainwater head with an Ionic capital, also dated 1740, is present. The building has two doorways, each with semi-circular fanlights and broken pediments. On the upper two storeys, there are two 12-paned sash windows for each house.
