Description

Whitehaven Hospital, originally built in 1769 by Sir John Lowther as his residence, is a three-storey stone building with a symmetrical design and battlements. The central block features a semi-circular turret with three windows on each of its three storeys. At both ends of the facade, there are projecting rectangular towers. All windows have labels, although they have been fitted with new glazing.
