Description
This is an early 17th-century farmhouse with 18th and 19th-century barn alterations and additions. The farmhouse has roughcast walls and a roof covered in graduated greenslate tiles, with a roughcast chimney stack. It is two storeys high, with four bays, and an L-shaped barn attached to the right, all under a common roof. A 20th-century door is located in the cross-passage, above which is a glazed loft opening. The original windows retain chamfered surrounds, though the stone mullions have been removed, and they are all topped with continuous hoodmolds on both floors. These are 2-light casement windows. The barn has two doorways, one bearing a lintel dated 1732. There are loft doorways, slit vents, and a 19th-century window within the barn. A right-angled barn extension has large double plank doors within a projecting cart entrance. A rear 19th-century house extension contains sash windows with glazing bars set within painted stone surrounds.
