Description

A 17th-century farmhouse, extended around 1700, is joined to an east-facing barn and stable. The farmhouse is constructed of rubble, with one bay featuring alternating coursing. It has a Cotswold stone roof with coped verges, moulded kneelers, and three ridge chimneys with moulded capping. Three gabled dormers are visible. The front has three bays and one bay, featuring 3-light mullioned windows and a two-light window above the paired central doorways (formerly a single doorway). Sash windows with glazing bars are set in rebated surrounds, likely replacing original cross-mullion windows. A single-story extension to the right, with a slate roof, serves as a small barn. Adjacent to the barn is a stable dating to around 1700, with a corrugated iron roof and granary steps at the gable end. On its north side are two 2-light mullion windows and a central doorway. The house may have originally had dormer gables, but it was likely re-roofed when the right-hand bay was added.
