Description

West Lodge is a lodge for Brunstock House, likely built between 1827 and 1833 for George Saul. It features walls made of calciferous sandstone ashlar and a graduated slate roof, along with ashlar chimney stacks. The building is single storey and consists of two bays. There is a projecting gabled bay that includes a canted bay window with chamfered mullions and diamond leaded casements, as well as decorated wooden barge-boards with a finial. The recessed bay has a wooden entrance porch with diamond leaded casements and a double window with a chamfered mullion. The gable also has barge-boards with a finial. The chimney stacks are hexagonal on square bases with moulded caps. The listing does not include a 20th-century extension to the right.
