Description
Elmbank is a house from the early 19th century that has been divided into two separate residences. It features painted incised stucco and is topped with a hipped roof made of graduated greenslate, along with rendered chimney stacks. The building stands two storeys tall and has five bays, with a single-storey extension at the rear that is part of No. 40. The entrance includes a panelled door set within a polygonal pilastered and glazed porch from the 19th century. The windows are sash style with glazing bars and are set in plain reveals. The right return wall and the extension also have sash windows with glazing bars, which are framed in painted stone surrounds.
