Description
Ridge House is a house that was formerly an inn, dated 1835 above the entrance. It is constructed of red sandstone ashlar and features a plain cornice, a slate roof with lead hips, and rendered chimney stacks. The building has two storeys and three bays. The entrance includes a six-panel door with a glazed fanlight and a pilastered surround, which is complemented by a prostyle Tuscan porch with a moulded entablature and cornice. The windows are sash style with glazing bars and plain stone surrounds. There is a blind window on the south-west wall that has painted glazing bars. In 1847, this building was known as the Ridge House Inn, according to the Mannix & Whellan Directory.
