Description

The Chestnuts is a house dating from the early 19th century. It features Flemish bond brick walls with stone dressings and a slate roof, along with brick chimneys. The building is two storeys high and has three bays. There is a stone plinth course, and the entrance is framed by a fluted surround with a plain rounded-head arch and a false keystone. The windows have flat-headed brick arches with stone sills and are fitted with sash windows that include glazing bars. The entrance door is a six-panel design with a patterned fanlight above.
