Description

Nos 11 and 13 Castlegate is an early 19th-century building. It features a cement-rendered exterior and a slate roof, rising three storeys high. The front includes two four-panelled doors with simple fanlights, set within doorways that have Doric pilasters and moulded cornices. On the ground floor, there are two 12-paned sash windows, while each upper floor has three sash windows, all with plain stone dressings. The building also displays stone quoins. Nos 2 to 10 (even) and Nos 10 to 13 (odd), along with Nos 14 to 28 (even) and Nos 30 and 30A Market Place, form a group.
