Description
The gates, piers, and walls east of Castletown were likely built around 1811, the same time as the nearby house. They feature six octagonal painted stone piers topped with vase finials, connected by a low red sandstone wall that has a serpentine shape. The cast-iron gates, which have spear railings, have been reset with 20th-century steel pillars positioned behind the existing piers. This structure is included for its group value.
