Description

Carleton Hill Farmhouse is a late 18th-century farmhouse constructed from dressed red sandstone, featuring a graduated slate roof and stone chimney stacks. The building is two storeys high and has three bays. The entrance is accentuated by moulded pilasters and a false-keyed round-headed arch. The ground floor includes Venetian windows with moulded surrounds similar to the entrance, while the upper floor has tripartite windows, all of which are sashes with glazing bars. The entrance door is a four-panel design with a curved glazing bar fanlight. There are single bay 19th-century extensions on both the left and right sides, each with hipped roofs and casement windows that also have glazing bars.
