Description

The cross in Wreay Churchyard was created in 1835 by Sarah Losh. It is made of carved calciferous sandstone and features a tapered column adorned with carved figures and Celtic designs arranged in alternating panels. At the top, it is surmounted by a triform cross. This cross was erected as a memorial and includes a Latin inscription dedicated to John and Isabella Losh, who were the parents of Sarah Losh. The design is inspired by the Bewcastle Cross.
