Description

This headstone, dating from the mid-17th century, is located approximately 3 metres east of the chancel of the Church of St. John the Baptist in Thorpe Mandeville. It is made of limestone and features a shield-shaped inscription plate, which is surmounted by scrolls and a head. The inscription, although fragmentary and badly weathered, commemorates Mary Billin, who died in 1665.
