Description

The walls, gatepiers, gates, and retaining wall to the forecourt of Easton Neston House were built around 1930. The walls are made of brick and feature limestone piers, niches, and coping. They extend from the right side of the basement of Easton Neston House to enclose the forecourt. The walls include niches that hold over-life-size statues, piers topped with stone urns, and gatepiers leading to the garden and drive, which are fitted with wrought-iron gates. A retaining wall opposite the house separates the forecourt from the park and has a limestone balustrade along with a central flight of nine stone steps. A further section of wall with gatepiers and gates to the drive, attached to the left end of the wing, completes the enclosure of the forecourt. The park and gardens are included in the Historic Buildings and Monuments Commission for England Register of Parks and Gardens at Grade II.
