Description

The Statue of Meleager is a garden statue made of lead, dating from the 18th century and restored in the 20th century. It stands on a rectangular, panelled limestone plinth and is modeled after the statue of Meleager currently housed in the Vatican Museum. The statue was relocated to its current position in front of the steps leading to the garden door of Easton Neston House around 1930. The park and gardens surrounding the house are included in the Historic Buildings and Monuments Commission for England Register of Parks and Gardens at Grade II.
