Description
Bay Tree House is a house dating from around 1800. It is constructed of red brick with pale headers and features a slate roof with brick end stacks. The building is two stories tall with an attic and has a three-window range. The central entrance consists of a six-panel part-glazed door that has panelled reveals, an overlight, and a reeded surround, topped with a flat hood. The windows are fitted with gauged brick lintels and 16-pane sash windows. A brick dentil cornice adorns the top of the house. At the rear, there is a 20th-century extension made of coursed squared ironstone and a bay window. Inside, the house retains its original staircase, which features stick balusters.
