Description

16 and 17 Lower Harlestone are two houses built in the early 19th century. They are constructed from squared coursed lias and have slate roofs. Each house originally had a one-unit plan and stands two storeys high, together forming a three-window range that includes two sashes with glazing bars and one casement with a wooden lintel. No. 16 features flat arch heads above its openings and has its entrance at the rear. No. 17 has a 19th-century door located to the right. The houses have a gabled roof with two levels and brick stacks at the ridge. They are included in the listing for their group value.
