Description
No. 9 Lower Harlestone is an early 18th-century house constructed of squared coursed lias with a thatched roof. It originally featured a three-unit plan and is a single storey with an attic. The front has a two-window range of dormers, with a plank loft door located to the right. The entrance on the left is a 19th-century part-glazed door with a wooden lintel. The house has casement windows with leaded lights; one window has a stone lintel, while the others have wooden lintels. There are two brick stacks at the ridge. To the left, there is an early 19th-century extension that also has a two-window range with leaded casements featuring flat segmented heads. The building is adorned with ashlar gable parapets and kneelers, and there is a brick stack at the end.
