Description
The Old Bakehouse is a house dating from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of squared coursed lias and features a thatched roof. The building has a three-unit plan and stands two storeys high with an attic. The front has a two-window range of casements that include leaded lights and wood lintels.
The entrance on the left has a plank door with a wood lintel, while the second entrance on the right features a 19th-century four-panelled door and a 19th-century porch attached to a single-storey projection with a catslide roof. The gable ends have ashlar parapets with kneelers. A central 19th-century roof dormer displays half-timbering and render, and there are brick and stone stacks at the ridge and end of the roof.
To the left, there is a 19th-century barn attached to the house. The side and rear elevations include two-light stone mullions. This building was formerly a baker's house.
