Description
Shepstone House is a house from the early 18th century that was altered in the 19th century. It is built of coursed limestone rubble and has a slate roof with brick ridge and end stacks. The house has a two-unit plan and stands two storeys high with an attic, featuring a three-window range. The central entrance has a 19th-century four-panel door with a wooden lintel, set within a 20th-century gabled timber porch. The ground and first floors have two-light casement windows, all with wooden lintels and margin lights. There are 19th-century gabled dormers on either side of the centre, which also have similar casements and ornamental tile ridges. The gables are coped with ironstone and have kneelers. A circular window is located on the ground floor at the far right. The interior has not been inspected.
