Description

Burnham House is a late 17th-century house, altered in the late 18th century. It is constructed of regular coursed lias and brick, with a plain-tile roof. Originally designed with a two-unit lobby-entry plan, it now exhibits a three-window range of casement windows on the first floor, each set under a brick arch. The central entrance has a 19th-century plank door, beneath a wooden lintel, alongside a mullion window to the right, featuring leaded lights and some crown glass. A central brick stack is also present. 18th and 19th-century brick extensions extend to the left and right of the original structure. The interior was not inspected but is noted to contain remains of open fireplaces.
