Description
This pair of gate-piers, dating from the 18th century, is located about 40 meters south-southwest of the Church of St Thomas. They are constructed of red brick, although the later render is peeling off in places. The gate-piers are square in plan and currently provide access to a field. Each pier features moulded stone caps and a ball finial. However, the cap of the east (right hand) pier has been partially rebuilt in cement, and its ball finial is missing. Additionally, there are later flaking quadrant walls and a 20th-century wooden gate.
