Description

Anvil Cottage is a house dating from the early 18th century. It is built of squared coursed lias stone and has a thatched roof. The cottage features a 2-unit plan with an outshut at the rear and stands two storeys tall with an attic. The front has a two-window range of casement windows; the ground floor windows have stone lintels, while the first floor windows are topped with eyebrow dormers. There are brick stacks at both ends of the building and a roof dormer. An attached barn on the left side also has a thatched roof, with a catslide roof at the rear. The interior has not been inspected.
