Description

This is a monument dating from around 1823, erected by John and Mary Fitzgerald. It features a granite obelisk set on a plinth, which has a decorative band of cannon balls. The monument is surrounded by railings, all resting on a plinth made of coursed granite blocks. Below the obelisk, there is a slate tablet that bears a long inscription commemorating the Battle of Naseby.
