Description
Manor Farm is a farmhouse that likely dates from the early 18th century, with some additions from the 19th century. It is constructed of brick and features a 20th-century concrete tiled roof. The building has a double-depth plan and stands two storeys high, with a three-window range of early 19th-century sash windows. The central window has an arched head, and all the windows are topped with gauged brick arches. The entrance features a six-panelled central door with an arched fanlight that includes glazing bars. A pillared portico adorns the entrance, complete with an entablature that has triglyphs and a dentilled cornice. The roof is shallow pitched with a concealed gutter, and there are brick stacks at both ends of the building. There is evidence of an 18th-century house in the right gable, and the rear of the house likely dates from the 18th century as well. Inside, there is an early 19th-century staircase and reeded doorcases. The first-floor room to the right has a fireplace with a reeded surround and a cast iron firebasket, while the room at the rear also features a cast iron firebasket. Several plank doors with original fittings are present throughout the house.
