Description
Naseby War Memorial is situated at the junction of Church Street and School Lane. It features a rectangular plinth made of Hornton stone, topped with a sculpture of a lion in repose. The memorial honors those who lost their lives in the First and Second World Wars, with inscriptions carved into the plinth.
The main dedicatory inscription reads: "TO THE GLORY OF GOD AND IN MEMORY OF THE NASEBY MEN WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES IN THE GREAT WAR 1914 – 1919 (11 NAMES) DEATH IS SWALLOWED UP IN VICTORY AND TO THOSE WHO FELL IN THE SECOND GREAT WAR 1939 – 1945 (2 NAMES) THEIR NAME LIVETH FOR EVERMORE."
The plinth is encircled by a rectangular stone kerb.
