Description
Naseby Hall is a country house built around 1822 for the Fitzgerald family. It was enlarged in 1859 by E.F. Law and again in 1907. The building is constructed of brick with ashlar dressings and features a slate roof. The south facade has three stories and a five-window range of sash windows with glazing bars and moulded stone architraves. The central three bays project forward at the ground floor, featuring 20th-century French doors set in 19th-century moulded stone surrounds. Above this, there is a pediment with a large wooden cornice over the central bays, and rusticated ashlar quoins are present. A plaque is located in the pediment. The hipped and gabled roof has brick stacks with ashlar dressings at the ridge. The north facade is similar but has been partially rebuilt in the 20th century. The west facade underwent a 20th-century reconstruction following the demolition of the west wing after a fire in 1946. The interior has also been remodeled in the 20th century.
