Description
Hobb End Cottage is a cottage dating from the 17th century, with alterations from the 19th and 20th centuries. It is constructed of coursed ironstone rubble and features a reed thatch roof, with a brick stack on the left and a stone stack on the right. The cottage has a three-unit plan, is two stories tall with an attic, and has a three-window range. There are blocked doors to the left and right of the center, both with wooden lintels. The ground floor has six-pane sash windows, with a similar window on the first floor to the left, and 20th-century sashes in the center and right of the first floor, all also with wooden lintels. To the right, there is a two-story extension with porches that are old, featuring similar 20th-century sashes and the current entrance. Inside, the cottage has stop-chamfered spine beams.
