Description
This is a cottage dating from the 17th century, with alterations and additions made in the 20th century. It is constructed of coursed ironstone rubble with a thatched roof and brick end stacks. The cottage originally had a two-unit plan and a two-storey, two-window front. There is a 20th-century part-glazed door to the right, with a wooden lintel, and 2-light casement windows to the ground floor, each with a wooden lintel. A 2-light casement window is located on the first floor to the right, while a 20th-century window is on the first floor to the left, both under eyebrow dormers. A two-storey, single-window 20th-century extension is attached to the left end. Inside, features include chamfered spine beams, an open fireplace with a cambered, chamfered bressumer, and a collar truss roof.
