Description
The Manse is a house that was originally built as a manse in the mid-18th century and underwent alterations in the 20th century. It is constructed of coursed squared ironstone with a plain-tile roof and brick end stacks. The building has a two-unit plan, is two storeys tall with a basement, and features a two-window range. The basement has two-light windows with concrete lintels, while the ground and first floors have cross windows with moulded stone sills and stone lintels that include keyblocks. Notable architectural details include a chamfered plinth, quoins, a storey band, and stone-coped gables with kneelers. The rear left side has a six-panel part-glazed door, and there is a two-storey wing to the rear right with two-light casement windows. Inside, the property features chamfered spine beams and an open fireplace in the basement room, which has an ogee-stop-chamfered cambered bressumer. There is also a fitted cupboard with a round-arched head and shaped shelves. The building has been identified as a manse since 1863.
