Description
Moat Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse that was altered in the 19th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone and ironstone, topped with an asbestos tile roof and features brick stacks at the ends and along the ridge. The building has a three-unit through-passage plan and is two stories tall with a four-window range. The larger section of the farmhouse projects forward to the right of the center. There is a six-panel, part-glazed door to the right of this projection, which has a wooden lintel above it. The ground floor features a three-light casement window on the far left, while the first floor has three-light casement windows, except for a two-light casement window located to the right of center above the door, all of which have wooden lintels. The farmhouse also has ironstone quoins. At the rear left, there is a two-story brick wing that dates from the 19th century. The interior has not been inspected.
