Description
Heyford Lodge is a house that was formerly a rectory, built in 1850 by Raphael Brandon. The building is constructed of coursed squared ironstone with limestone dressings and features plain-tile roofs along with stone lateral and end stacks. It has a complex plan and is designed in the Gothic Revival style, rising to two storeys and an attic. The front has a gabled porch with a chamfered pointed arched doorway located to the left of a projecting wing that includes a canted bay window. The first floor is adorned with 3-light casement windows that have chamfered stone surrounds. Additional architectural details include limestone quoins, stone-coped gables with kneelers, and gabled timber roof dormers. The interior has not been inspected.
