Description

Archway Cottages, now numbered 9 to 12 consecutively, are late 17th century in origin, although they have undergone considerable rebuilding. The cottages are constructed of squared rubble with tiled roofs. A prominent feature is the tall, central round-headed archway leading to a yard enclosed by buildings on three sides. The cottages are arranged over one storey with attics, and have gabled half-dormers. The windows are casements set in chamfered reveals with stone mullions, and those facing the road have dripmouldings.
