Description

The Cottage is an original Rectory, dating from the late 17th century. It is located on Christchurch Road, south-west of Abington Abbey, and was sometimes referred to as the Estate Departments Office. The building is constructed of squared rubble, with stone coped gables to a tiled roof. It has a ‘L’ shaped plan and stands two storeys high with attics. The windows are varied casements with stone flat arches over the ground floor openings. The Cottage forms a group with the Church of St Peter and St Paul and Abington Abbey.
