Description

This is a terrace of five houses located in Round Town, Aynho. They were likely built around 1800. The houses are constructed from rubble limestone, with a slate roof and brick stacks. They are two storeys high with an attic, and have eight bays in total. Each house features a central doorway, topped with a wooden lintel and containing a plank door. Number 22 has a second doorway of a similar style in the right-hand bay. The windows are set within wooden lintels and include 2-light and 3-light casement windows on the ground and first floors. Each house also has a central 2-light casement window in the attic. Number 26 retains its original iron casements, while the casements in the other houses have been replaced in the 20th century. The interior of the properties has not been inspected.
