Description
This monument, located approximately 600 meters north-north-east of Stanford House, was erected in the early 20th century. It is constructed from limestone ashlar and features a Roman Ionic column standing on a plinth that is accessed by four steps. The monument commemorates Lieutenant Percy Piltcher R.N., who flew in Stanford Park using an early flying machine on September 30, 1899.
