Description
Adelaide Terrace, located on Barrack Road, features three adjoining houses numbered 1 to 3, dating from the early 19th century. These three-storey buildings are constructed of stucco with roofs covered in Welsh slate and pantiles. The central parapet is stepped up, and the ground floor is channeled. Each upper floor of houses 1 and 3 has incised pilasters, while house 2 is slightly recessed. The design includes floor bands and a cornice. House 3 has a box dormer, and all three houses feature sash windows with glazing bars set in architrave surrounds, arranged in a 1:3:1 pattern. The first floor has cast iron balcony railings and a central arcade leading to a recessed balcony with French windows. The ground floor displays canted bays on the center and left sides. These houses form a group with Leicester Terrace, specifically houses 1 to 8, and with houses 4 to 7 on Adelaide Terrace, which are of local interest.
