Description

No. 22 West Street is an 18th-century house located in Long Buckby. The building is rendered, with painted brick and ironstone rubble at the rear, and features a slate roof with a 19th-century brick ridge stack. It is two stories high and has a two-window range. On the first floor, there are two 18th-century wooden sash windows, each with 12 panes and rusticated lintels above. The ground floor has a three-light wooden casement window with 18 panes. To the left, there is a part-glazed door set within a pilaster doorcase topped with a flat hood. A storey band on the first floor stops short of the left corner, and there is a 19th-century moulded cornice. The house is included for its group value.
