Description
Eydon Hall's orangery, built in the late 18th century, is located approximately 40 meters east of the main house. In the 1930s, Sir Herbert Baker added a heightened and balustraded parapet. The structure is made of ironstone ashlar and features five bays with long tripartite sash windows. The interior was remodeled around 1930 into a ballroom, complete with a fireplace and fittings from that period. There is a service block attached at the rear, which was originally built in the late 18th century but was refronted in 1984-1985 on the side facing the house. The orangery has a hipped slate roof and two stories, with seven bays of sash windows at the rear. It also includes three elliptical stone arches facing the house and a wooden clock turret with a cupola, featuring a clock attributed to Ainsworth Thwaites.
