Description
The Bothy and The Patch are a pair of cottages dating from the 17th to 18th century. They are constructed from coursed limestone rubble and feature a thatched roof with brick and stone stacks. The cottages are two storeys high with an attic and consist of three bays. The doorways in the second bay from the left and the second from the right have 20th-century doors and porches. All windows have 20th-century wooden lintels and 2-light casements. There is a thatched dormer in the left bay, also with a 20th-century casement. Inside, No.2 retains its original newel staircase built into the thickness of the wall, while No.1 has been remodeled in the 20th century.
