Description

There are two headstones dating from the 17th century located approximately 3 meters north of the northwest angle of the tower of the Church of St Michael and All Angels on Church Lane in Bugbrooke. The headstone to the north is low and made of ironstone, inscribed in bold capitals with the text: "THOMAS MOSSES THE/HUSBAND OF ELENNER/MOBBES WAS BURYED/THE 8 OF MARCH 1615." It features a back chamfer with the initials "TM." The headstone to the south is inscribed in a similar style, stating: "WILLIAM REEVE THE/HUSBAND OF ELLENOR/REEVE WAS BURYED/THE 6 OF SEPTEHBER/1643/MILLIAH REEVE DEPARTED/AT THE AGE OF 107 YEARES."
