Description
This is a gateway, wall, and piers built in the early 19th century, located approximately 15 meters south of the Church of St. Nicholas. Constructed from ironstone ashlar, the gateway features a four-centred arch with an entablature that is topped with strapwork, ball finials, and a coat of arms. The lower flanking sections include inscription plaques and strapwork cresting, with the plaques reading "Enter his gates with thanksgiving" and "Come into his courts with praise." The gateway is connected by low stone walls along the south side of the churchyard to square piers that have pyramid-shaped finials on ball pedestals. This structure is included for its group value.
