Description
No. 2 Yew Tree Lane is a house dating from 1684, as indicated by the datestone. It is built of squared coursed lias with ashlar dressings and features a thatched roof. The house has a two-unit plan and is a single storey with an attic. The ground floor has a two-window range facing the road, with a three-light stone mullion window on the left and a casement window on the right, both framed by a moulded stone surround and a wood lintel, along with a small central window. There is a central eyebrow dormer with leaded lights. The building has rusticated quoins, an ashlar string course, gable parapets, and kneelers, with brick stacks at each end. The left gable features a two-light stone mullion window with the datestone above it. At the rear, there is a central entrance with a plank door flanked by casement windows with leaded lights. The property is incorrectly labeled as The Baptist chapel on Ordnance Survey maps.
